Dr. Faroughi is an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Utah and the director of the Energy & Intelligence Lab. His research focusses on developing computational methods to explore the dynamics, thermophysics, and biogeochemistry of particulate matter, complex fluids, and multiphase reacting flows in the context of geo-energy systems. Current research activities is heavy on developing scientific machine learning. Dr. Faroughi earned his Ph.D. from Georgia Tech and completed his postdoctoral research at MIT.
